Scientifically proven natural acoustics
Our Lumir acoustic solutions allow you to control sound in a space so that the soundscape is always natural. The starting point for our acoustic design after determining the use of the space and the customer’s need is always the Lumir Comfort acoustic coating. Our coating absorbs medium and high frequencies (>500 Hz) in normal speech frequencies, but the most effective control of the entire speech frequency range requires the choice of Lumir’s acoustic solutions with suitable acoustic base materials.
Wood fibre has been studied to absorb sound better than conventional synthetic materials, and all our acoustic solutions are based on scientific research. You can find links to our published articles on this page and download the sound absorption values of our products here.

Lumir Comfort sound absorption values directly on hard surface
The graphic below shows the sound absorption properties of the Lumir Comfort coating when sprayed directly onto concrete or gypsum board, for example. It should be noted that the coating alone dampens already very normal speech frequencies. When you need a solution that effectively absorbs even low frequencies, look no further than our combined acoustic solutions Lumir Comfort + Lumir Wool (LW) or Lumir Comfort + Lumir Board (LB).

Check out the different spaces, where you can concretely hear a noticeable difference after spraying Lumir. Even without other acoustic base materials, which always makes the solution the most environmentally friendly and also the most cost-effective. In order to create good room acoustics, acoustic materials classified in class A may not always be needed. Our acoustic solutions are strongly based on science and resource-wise placement of acoustic materials. Our acoustic solutions are always tailored to the client’s needs and intended use – never too much, never too little. For Lumir, it is essential that the properties of the material also allow us to make effective use of wall surfaces, where we can achieve acoustic goals with thinner structures, often with Lumir Comfort acoustic spray alone.
