Lumir and the stunning club Le Bloom, which opened at the end of 2023 at Eteläesplanadi 12, are literally flourishing together. Lumir’s acoustic ceiling coating can be found above the dance floor and in three different private rooms.
Above the dance floor, Lumir’s acoustic coating was dyed blue, matching the other blue surfaces in the historic bank hall. The club operates in the protected Wasa Aktiebank building, located at the corner of Eteläesplanadi and Kasarmikatu. The blue shade was completely custom-made using a color meter, as no code existed for the old shades. In contrast, the three other shades in the private rooms were selected from pre-existing color codes. Since the acoustic surface is always slightly porous and matte, achieving the perfect shade required years of product development.
The acoustic ceiling solutions were tailored to meet the needs of the spaces and blend seamlessly into the elegant interiors designed by dSign Vertti Kivi Co. Above the dance floor, a hybrid acoustic solution was installed: Lumir Wool 40 mm (LW40) glass wool panels combined with 8 mm-thick, fully pigmented Lumir Comfort™ in a blue shade. The goal was to optimize the acoustics of the designated area, ensuring that conversations at the adjacent bar counter remain clear.
In the private rooms, three different atmospheric color tones were used. The acoustic ceiling solution in these rooms consists of Lumir Wool 20 mm (LW20) glass wool panels, combined with 8 mm-thick, fully pigmented Lumir Comfort acoustic coating.
